Dayna Serna Art Exhibition— Gemstone and pearl jewelry, Great Salt Lake photography on display at the Ogden Valley Branch Library A new art exhibition featuring the jewelry of Dayna Serna is currently on display in the Lorna Wattis Swason Gallery of the Ogden Valley Branch Library. Dayna Serna has been creating handcrafted jewelry her entire life. Though her background is in photography and graphic art, she enjoys designing beaded jewelry composed of distinctive combinations of sterling silver, gemstones, and freshwater pearls. Serna is also interested in the vibrant cultures of the Native Americans and the jewelry they produce. That interest and her modern sense of design is reflected in each piece. The collection on display at the Ogden Valley Branch Library includes exquisite necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, which features freshwater pearls, turquoise, agates, laboradite, and much more. Each piece is a unique reflection of the artist’s creative style, and faultlessly brings together natural beauty and crafted elegance. Along with her jewelry she will also be displaying a small collection of her photography featuring unique images of the Great Salt Lake. Her modern presentation of the images using floating glass and Trestlewood extracted from the Great OVBA Seeks Nominations for Board of Directors It’s that time of year when the Ogden Valley Business Association is seeking nominations for Board of Directors positions.
