This highly acclaimed entertainment will include performances by the Celtic Beat Irish Dancers, Galloway Pipes and Drums, and form mainly Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, and the Isle of Man. Instruments include flute, whistle, recorders, dulcimer fiddle, and Bodham. Idlewild The Celtic Beat Irish Dancers will open the evening as they kick up their heels with lively jigs and reels in Riverdance style. Celtic Beat is a young group of Irish stepdancers who perform throughout the Northern Utah area at many festivals and concerts. The Galloway Pipe Band will play traditional pipes lending to the Scottish tradition. They are proud to honor three generations of pipers. The Galloway Pipe band has performed at many competitions and festivals throughout the Intermountain West. They have patterned their pipe band after the famous Black Watch Pipe Band. Ending the evening will be the Idewild Band. Idlewild features music of various cultures mixed into their program. A full schedule of activities will be offered The Third Annual Arts Festival, enhanced by the Torchlight Pande f Snowcrest Basketball Teams to Participate in Morgan Tournament The Annual Morgan Lions Basketball Tournament will be held this year on Friday, March 2; and on Saturday, March 3 at the Morgan Middle School Gym. The tournament is played by 7th and 8th grade students—boys and girls. This year Snowcrest Jr. High will be sending teams to compete in the tournament against students from Morgan, Coalville, and Kamas. Each player on the winning championship team will receive a championship trophy. There will also be medals for players selected to an all tournament team. A most OVBA valuable player will be chosen in addition to the tournament team me on out and enjoy great basketball, and support our Valley players! The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. Admission is two dollars for adults (12 years and up), one dollar for children, or five dollars per family per night. Hot dogs, candy, and drinks will be available for purchase at the game, and served by Lion members. The Lions have been sponsoring this tournament for over 30 years. Members Honored at Annual Meeting OSREN, wan Business Associatic The Ogden Valley Business Association held their Annual Dinner at The Red Moose Lodge on February 1. Nearly 75 members and guests of the OVBA attended this dinner catered by Harley & Buck’s. Prior to handing over the gavel to incoming Chair Steve Wilson, outgoing Chair Jim Halay gave a review of the accomplishments, Business of the Year: Bonnie & Jeff Hyde — Trappers Village Square OVBA Executive Director Lisa Karam showed an encore presentation of the “Ski Legends” video presented at the Snowdance.
