Show THE Page 4 OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Volume XII Issue IX June 1, 2005 Ogden City Recreation Hosts “Free Family Fishing Fair’ Annual Statewide Art Competition Announced den City’s Annual Family Fishing Fair will be held Saturday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. to : m. The event is being held in partnership with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) at the Ogden City Pioneer Rodeo Stadium located at 668 17th Street in Ogden. This is a free event for the entire family! Children can learn to cast, tie knots, clean a fish, The Eccles Community Art Center in Ogden is announcing a call for entries for its 31st Annual Statewide Competition. This competition is open all artists who presently reside in the state of Utah. Original work in any medium including paintings, prints, monoprints, drawings, graphics, pottery, sculptures, and textiles are eligible. Photographs are not eligible. No digital or digitally enhanced work will be accepted. Works must have been completed within the past two years and not have been previously exhibited in a juried exhibit sponsored by the Eccles Community Art Center. Artists are limited to a total of two entries. Entry fees are $8 per entry. Entry fees are used for prize money and publicity and are not refundable. Entries must be clearly identified by the artist with title, medium and price/insurance value. Identification tags and result cards are provided to the artist at the time of entry. The original works will be accepted on Friday June 24, 2005 from 9: 00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and on Saturday, June 25 to3:00 p.m at the Eccles Community Art Center at 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden. Work will not be accepted after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2005. and other skills in the Pathways to Fishing program presented by DWR. Every child will also have the opportunity to catch a fish in our pond that has been stocked with Rainbow Trout! Second Annual Free Ride & Motorcycle Show to be Held in June By Kim Crittenden, Kim’s Events LLC treated to spectacular views on the way to visit event sponsors and nearby locations. Riders will meet back at the airport for prizes. Participants can signup for the ride anytime before 12:30 p.m.; pre-entri ies can arrive by 1:15. The event is free but registration is needed in order to be eligible for prizes. Cool prizes and awards have been collected for both the show and the ride.
