Parson, 64, of Ogden died November 9, 2004 at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona of colon cancer. He was born January 10, 1940, in Logan, Utah, a son of Jack B. and Bonnie Fulkerson Parson. He married Marilyn Mann, June 16, 1962, in Brigham City, Utah. d served in the U.S. Army from 1962 - 1965 Prior to his retirement he was President and CEO of Jack B. Parson Companies. While at Parson Companies he served as Director for multiple organizations including the Ogden Chamber of Commerce, The Associated General Contractors of Utah, and as State Governor of the National Asphalt & Paving Association. freely tions and groups inching St. Benedicts Hospital, The Utah Golf Association, and The Ogden Golf and Country Club. Surviving are his wife Marilyn Parson of den; two sons, Dr. Shaun D. Parson (Jinger) of Scottsdale, Arizona; Kevin S. Parson (Becky) of Liberty, Utah; grandsons Cooper and Grant; and orenddanghter Bree. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Jack B. Parson, Jr. (DeAnne) of Pleasant View; Michael E. Parson (Rhonda) of Cove; and Kathryn Rubin (Jack) of Scottsdale, Arizona. Ned was preceded in death by his parents. A“Celebration of Life” for family and friends was held November 13 at the Ogden Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 9494 E. ottsdale, Arizona 85260; or to the charity of your choice. James L. Gould James Leo Gould, 90, died Friday, November 19, 2004 at a local care center. He was born October 31, 1914 in Eden, Utah to William Levi and Zella Shupe Gould. He married Mildred Storey on September 30, 1936 in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 2, 1952. They had two sons. Jim was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints North Ogden 21st Ward. He served in the Sunday School Superintendency and taught Sunday School. He was an Superintendent for about seven years and also a Home Teacher. He served in the CC Camp from 1933 to 1934. He worked for Western Junk and drove a truck on the Highline Canal and Pineview Dam. He became a painter in 1937. Jim joined the Armed Services in July of 1943 and served in Europe during World War II. After he was honorably discharged from the service, he went back to painting. He was a partner in Gateway Glass and Paint in 1952 and sold his share in 1958. He then worked for the John R. Hall Company before returning to paint contracting in 1962. worked for the Ben Lomond Stake Center from 1967 to 1972. He then went to work at McKayDee Hospital in 1972, retiring December 31, 1979. Following his retirement, James spent a lot of time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling g with family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife of 68y Mildred, of North Ogden; sons, Lynn (Sandy), Roy; Lee (Janette), North Ogden; three grandsons, JL, Ryan and Eric; one step granddaughter, Christeen; one adopted grandson, Scott; and one great-grandson. Also surviving is his sister Thora Salmond He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Olin and Elmer; and one sister, Mildred Hansen. Funeral services were held Monday at the North Ogden 21st Ward Chapel with Bishop Greg Thorpe officiating. Interment, North Ogden Cemetery where Military Honors were accorded by the Combined oO brother, Lynn (Lois) Beddes of Cowley, Wyoming; one sister, Donna (Hal) Reynolds, of Tennessee; and 41 grandchildren and 39 greatgrandchildren. Bern was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Golda; five brothers (Heber, Arthur, James, Franklin, and Clinton); three sisters (Pearl, LaVaughn, and Juanita); and three grandsons (Daniel Beddes, Nathan Anderson, and Jacob Beddes). The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Crestwood Care Center for their tender care and to Hospice for their services during Vern’s stay. Funeral services were held in Lovell, Wyoming, on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at the Lovell Third Ward chapel.
