Heather and Gared Marvell of Huntsville had a baby boy on June 29. Anniversaries Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thomas Dave and Dermeta Thomas of Sunset recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family. They were married July 23, 1954, in Huntsville. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 30 years. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 20 years. Their three children are Debbie and John Zito, Sheila and Kelly Worden, and David Thomas Jr. They have eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The ceremony was officiated by Bishop Roger Bailey. The bride is a daughter of Thorpe and Laurie Shupe of Liberty. Parents of the groom are Robert and Heidi Bailey also of Liberty. Both are graduates of Weber High School. The bride is employed at Timbermine Restaurant & Steak House and Bio Life. The groom works for REB Construction. The new couple will live in Eden after their honeymoon to Montana. photos Obituaries Judith Woodland Judith Lynn Woodland, 62, passed awa Friday, August 6, 2004 at her home. She was born October 4, 1942 in Mercedes, Texas to James Mayo and Lila Judith Woodland Dovie Goldsmith Morris. She married Dan W. Woodland on February 22, 1963 in Anaheim, California. your announcements & Jessica Warnes and Daniel Jeffrey Ashbridge were united in marriage on August 7 at the home of the bride, 3418 N. Highway 162, in Liberty, where a reception was held in their honor. The ceremony was officiated by Tim Lewis. The bride is the daughter of Mylan and Sue Warnes of Liberty. Parents of the bridegroom are Jeff and Josephine Ashbridge of South Ogden. Bonnie McCrary served as matron of honor. Shelby Shephard, Michelle Storey, Kenzie Cazier, Kenzei Morin, and Barbara Ashbridge were her bridesmaids. Adrian Martinez performed the duties of best man. Taylor Laybourne, Stefano Ashbridge, Maurizio Ashbridge, Brody Warnes, and Jason Warnes served as groomsmen. She is a graduate of Weber High School and the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College’s cosmetology program. She works at the newest Tomas Hardy Salon in Ogden. He is a graduate of Bonneville High School and works at La Ferrovia Ristorante in Ogden where his parents are the owners. She was on the Board of Directors and member of Ronald McDonald Camp for Good Times (camp for children with cancer). Surviving are her husband, Dan W. Woodland; children Mark A. (Kristi) Woodland, Riverton, Utah; Danna L. (Michael) O’Brien, Huntsville, Utah; Karen F. (Bradford) Hammond, Huntsville, Utah; Craig J. (Tamra) Woodland, No. Ogden, Utah; Tara L. (Michael) Djunaedi, Clinton, Utah; and 8 % grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother, Lila D. Morris; one sister, Jennifer Maxfield, Cedar Hills, Utah; and one brother, Jeffrey Morris, Lehi, Utah. he was preceded in death by her father, James Mayo Morris. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the Huntsville 1st Ward Chapel, 277 S. 7400 E. with Bishop Scott Layton officiating. Services under the direction of Myers Mortuary in Ogden. Interment, Huntsville Cemetery. Send condolences to family at <www.imyers-mortuary.com> Thomas Lee Mortensen Thomas Lee Mortensen, 55, died at his home in Huntsville on July 26, 2004. He was born in Ogden, Utah on March 11, 1949, the son of Grant J. and Selena McArthur Mortensen. Tom went to school in Ogden and in 1967 joined the Marines as part of the Utah Platoon. He served in Vietnam for a year and was wounded just before it was time to come home. He never recovered from the trauma he suffered there. In 1970 he married Kathy Roche and they had a daughter. They were later divorced. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, camping, and the outdoors. He loved his grandkids. He is survived by his parents; his daughter LaNae (Mark) Hansen, Wellsville, Utah; two granddaughters, Kylee and Baylee; three stepchildren, Michelle, Jake, and Willie; his friend and companion Vickie; seven brothers and sisters, Vicky (Dennis) Massengale, Allen (Susan) Mortensen, Lynn (Rena) OBITUARIES cont. on page 7 WAIT!
