Cremation under the direction of Myers condolences www.mnyers-mortuary.com to family at Jay Dee Runnels Jay Dee Runnels, 47, of Downey and former Ogden resident, passed away Monday, July 26, 2004 at his home. He was born March 5, 1957 in Ogden, Utah a son of Audie and Helen Forrer Runnels. He was raised and educated in Ogden and Huntsville, and had also resided in Vernal for 12 years. He was an auto repairman and also drove a truck. Jay married Linda Church in 1975; they later divorced. On September 17, 1983 he married Bunita Hess and they later divorced. The past four years Jay operated the Loading Pen Bar in Downey. His great love and enjoyment came from his “Harley” motorcycle. He is survived by his mother, Helen Runnels of Downey; a son, Cody Jay Runnels of Ogden; a daughter, Jodie Runnels of Tremonton; two grandchildren, Kaden Runnels of Layton and Jaxtin Stanphill of Tremonton. Also, one brother, James Craig (Bonnie) Runnels of Mesa, Arizona; two sisters, Barbar Jeannie (Vern) Jenson of Promontory, Utah and Cathy Jane Runnels of Ogden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. He had many close and special friends who will miss him greatl Services were held Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad. Elaine Rose Revell Sampson painting and sewing. Camping was a favorite, especially in Afton, Wyoming. She lived in Ogden, Liberty, and Eden. She loved the Valley dearly. She was a member of the Liberty First Ward at the time of her death. Throughout her life, she served in various church positions, including YWMIA and Sunday School. In her retired years, she and her husband spent the winter in Desert Hot Springs and later in St. George where they served a mission. Surviving are four sons, and a daughter, James E. (Sally), Bountiful; Ralph R. (Bonnie), Midway; Paul R. (Cheryl), Logan; Mark T. (Jeanne), Ruby Valley, Nevada; Ruth (Eugene) Bailey, Liberty; 25 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Carolyn Murphy, and brother Charles K. Revell. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Phillip Revell. Elaine Rose Revell Sampson passed away at the Wasatch Care Center on Wednesday, July 28, 2004. She was born October 16, 1913 in Ogden, a daughter of Lettie Walker and Charles Revell. She attended Ogden City Schools and Weber College where she graduated as a beautician. She married Eliot T. Sampson on June 28, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away in May of 1999, She had been employed by the Ogden Standard-Examiner and Weber School District; and had her own businesses of Elaine’s Draperies and Sampson’s Raspberries. She had numerous talents, including oil raffle to win a mountain bike. If you like, you can bid on fantastic items being offered in the silent auction.
