Show August 24, 2001 The Summit County Bee Page AS Woodard Brings Home The Saddle From The Panguifch Invifafionals In the Bull Riding, in the 1st go had some hard luck bucking down a little early, in the 2nd go, had a great ride, but slapped bull. Didn't make the short go in the bulls but did a great job. Will also just returned from the Silver States International Rodeo in Fallon, Nevada. He also competed in the barebacks and bulls, making the short go in both events. Way to Ride, Congratulations! Krista Harris, our only girl, competed and did a wonderful job as she competed in the poles, barrels and breakaway. In the pole bending, 1st go she had a fast time and hit a pole, 1st in the 2nd go, going back in the short go finishing 4th placing 5th overall in the poles. 1st go had In the break-a-wahard luck missing her calf, 2nd go had a little hard luck again didn't make short go. In the barrels finishing 1 1th in the 1st go, 7th in the 2nd go making the short go finishing 6th in the go. finished 6th overall in the Barrels. Great job Krista! There is no doubt The South Summit Rodeo Team rides tough! We also need to congratulate all our Rodeo Team who went to State High School Rodeo Finals. We had Two National Qualifiers, Lindzi Bishop in the Pole Bending and Mardee Jones in the Queen Contest who Went on to the National High School Rodeo Finals in Springfield, IL. Lindzi finished 14th and Mardee finished tied 8th place. This is a great Achievement for these girls. y, Five South Summit Rodeo Team members attended the Panguitch Invitational Rodeo in Panguitch All competed in Utah on July 25-2- 8. the new indoor arena, and did a fantastic job. Kirby Woodard in the Saddle B rones finished 1st in the 1st go, 3rd in the 2nd go, going back in the short go to finish 3rd. - dominating the Bronc Riding. Woodard won the saddle-Wa- y to Go Kirby! Jeremy Mitchell in the Saddle Broncs finished 6th in the 1st go, 5th in the 2nd go, returning back in the short go to finish 4th. He won a 2nd place buckle. Good job! Kolt Leifcon had 7 horses to ride during the 4 days. Kolt first rode '1. V - is i bareback and finished 4th in the 1st go, 4th in the 2nd go, 2nd in the 3rd go. Going into the short go, he had some hard luck when he was bucked off just short of 8 seconds. He brought home a 3rd place buckle. In the Saddle Broncs, Kolt finished 4th in the 1st go, 4th in the 2nd go. Going back in the short go g he had some hard luck 7th. He also finished 2nd in the Great job! boys Will Yoder went in the barebacks and bulls. He also had 6 animals to ride. In the barebacks, he finished 3rd in the 1st go, had a little trouble in the 2nd go, 5th in the 3rd go. back in the short go had some hard luck again. Finished 5th in the event again-finishin- Congratulations.
