She also served in the Women's Adeie Anna Pavilonis Mulvey Blisi Hively, 82, passed away quietly on Au-g- u . day Saints, in which he served in many capacities. Among those he served two LDS missions with his wife. He also served as a Boy Scout leader for sixteen years. He is survived by his wife, Mar Lee, a daughter Cindy (Kevin) Ferguson, son, Keith (Debbie) Gordon, son, Kenneth (Linda) Gordon, and a daughter Kelly (MichaeQ Robinson, 15 grandchilhis dren, 23 siblings. Glade (Jeenine) Gordon, Joann (Jim) Folker, and Michael (Rachael) Gordon. His mother, father and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Sego Lily LDS Chapel 710 East 900 North, Lehi, Utah. Adeie was bom on December 30, 1925 in Law- rence, to August Pavilonis and Grace Kap-chu- s, immi- grants from Lithuania.. As a child, Adeie attended Arlington Element vy School and John K. Tarbox Grammar School in Lawrence, MA. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1944 and then from St. ; Margaret's School of Nursing at Dorchester, M A in 1949. This was the time of the Korean Conflict and she wanted to do her part. So she joined the US. Navy and served as an officer and Regis- tered Nurse. Her first duty station was at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Newport Rhode Island. In 1953, Adeie received orders at the U.Si Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA. It was here she met and married an enlisted man, Joseph Robert Mulvey of Bennington, Vermont. During their sixteen year marriage Adeie gave birth to nine.chiklrea Her career as a registered nurse spanned 30 years. She worked at several different facilities including her first job at Bos-- , ton CBy Hospital Fairmont Has-- , pita! in San Leandro, CA and St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. After retirement she served as a Pink Lady at UVRMC in Provo. ; Adeie has lived in many different states. Her husband's military career brought them from coast to coast. Her children were born in Florida, Hawaii, Virginia, Texas, and California. She raised her children mainly in Hayward, CA; Orem, UT: and Mesa, AZ. Her final years were spent in The Courtyard at Jamestown as--, listed living facility in Provo. She lived a quiet life of service, helping the handicapped and over looked people that she met. Her moat remarkable accomplishment was 'raising nine children as a single mother. Later in her life she married again Don Bliss in 1995 'and they lived together for three years until his death Adeie .mar-- . tied Clem Hively in 2903. She loved to have a good time had an infectious laugh. She loved crossword puzzles, traveling, dancing, reading the news-- , paper, attending baseball games, plays, and concerts. She collected many things including stamps, coins, and dolls. Adeie is survived by her hus-- 1 band, Cleamon Hively; nine children, Michael (Teresa) Mulvey of ' Roseville, CA, Patrick (Richelie) Mulvey of Danville, CA, Dennis (Marilee) Mulvey of Factory ville, PA, Colleen Mulvey of Orem, UT, Kathleen (Brian) Banks of Cedar Hills, UT, Kevin (Lisa) Mulvey of , American Fork, UT, Eileen sepb) Sousa of Orem, UT, Timothy (Rebecca Ives) Mulvey of Pleasant Grove, UT, Daniel Mulvey of Tcyko, Japan; and 12 grandchil- dren. Sterling Robertson Olsea passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his home in Spanish Fork, Utah at the age of 91. He was bom : to Joseph Michael and Myri Robertson Olaen on September 16, 1916 in , Spanish Fork, Utahi He married Grace Holley of Mapleton, Utah on December 17, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple, They have four children: Jerijyim Summers of Bountiful, UT, Karen (Bill) Shoemaker of Woodland Hills, UT, John Sterling of Spanish Fork, UT, and Marsha Rae (Dean) Boyd of Alvston, KY. They have 13 grandchildren, and 35 greatgrandchildren. Sterling was pre-ceded in death by his wife, Grace, his parents, Joseph and Myri, two older sisters, Reva Roy lance, and Rhoda Stubbs, and younger broth-- ' ers Lawrence, Grant, Alden, Snell, and James. His four children and brothers Norman (Barbara) Olsen of Spanish Fork, Utah and Paul Olsen of Salem, Utah survive him Sterling grew up during the great deprmsion and spent much of his time as a youth helpinghk father take care of the family sheep business. Money was scarce in those days and the experiences during his youth taught him the principles of hard work and of getting by with very little in the way of materia possessions. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1934. He then graduated from BYU fat 1938 with a BS degree fat chemistry and from there went on to graduate school at The Ohio State University. where he earned a Ph.D. in Sod Chemistry fat 1942. He worked briefly in Riverside, CA as a scientist and then during World War II he was asked to work for the.. government on the Emergency Rubber Project. After the war he began his career as a Soil Scien-- . tist for the U.S. Department of : Agriculture, working in Prosser, WA and Fort Collins, CO. In 1955, he was awarded the HobUtzeD. ' Award, a national award for the most outstanding research fat the , United States in soil chemistry. Following his move back to Spanish Fork in 1997, he spent several years doing temple work in the Provo Temple. He lived by the principles of the Gospel and taught them to many ; people throughout his life. His commitment to his beliefs never wavered, and his family and associates are thankful for his worthy , and enduring example. His greatest service was In caring for his wife, Grace, who was ill for 14 . years prior to her death in 1998: Sterling cared for her at home during all of those years, indud- ing the but nine years in which she was totally confined to bed.
