Show October 29 1999 The Summit County Bee Miss Utah National The Miss Utah National TeenAgcr program is accepting applications for the 2000 state pageant. Contestants are judged on academic achievement, leadership skills, communication skills and poise1 $ personality. There is NO swimsuit petition. The pageant will be held May 19 and 20, 2000. The final program will take place in the Regan Theater on the campus of Utah State Valley College. There will he a state winner in each of the two age divisions 1213 and 1618. Winners in each division will receive a $ 1,000 savings bond and their trip to an exciting, funfilled week at the National pageant scheduled to be held in Nashville, Tennessee. The National Winners The Summit County Historical Society is receiving applications for vacancies on the Board of Trustees, Summit County Historical Society. Interested ' applicants must be residents of Summit County. This is a volunteer position, meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month. Doing so is needed to prevent the overselling of peemits. Overselling of permits is one of the reasons buck to doe ratios in various areas of Utah have not reached objectives callcJ for in management pljns. Welch said.
