The Youth Leadership Conference, (YLC) presented by Farmland Industries, Inc. enabled youth to further their leadership skills and abilities. YLC is a hands-o- n experience through various activities such mock interviews,- small group acand communtivities, goal-settiication workshops. The program is facilitated by college interna and staff members from various colleges and universities. Three activities that set YLC apart from other conferences are an out u - door challenge course, cooperative marts, and the Farmland mentor program. The challenge course gives participants memorable lessons the value and application of mutual trust, teamwork and communication. Cooperative marts simulate the Farmland Cooperative System miniature.
