SgL Larry Henley, who has been workschools, has been much appreciated and will be continuing on with several summer youth oriented projects throughout the summer. He will be meeting with the South Summit School Board in the near future to determine whether they would like to implement the program into their school system. County Commissioners said they had several "positive comments handed to them concerning the program, which they feel is a "good approach to stopping problems before they get out of hand. Officer Offret meet with a Citizens Committee to discuss Olympic Planning in the County. The main concern voiced, he said, was "infrastructure issues such as water, fire etc. He is a member of the Sub Committee of Venue Command.1 During May, 536 calls were handled by the department. There were 176 bookings this May as compared to 148 last year. COUNTY BUILDING REPORT 0. $29000.00 SHERIFFS REPORT Lieutenant Joe Offret gave the monthly Sheriffs report to the Commissioners. The office was awarded a Personnel Funding Grant, Federal aid, being the first one sought after. The grant calls for being given $50,000.00 over the next three years to be used where needed. Eric Averett told the board that although actual permits were up by 64 permits from last year, dwelling permits were down- - a fact which brought a few smiles from the board. Total to date permits are 22S for the Snydcrville Basin, 33 for South Summit and 35 for North Summit. Dwelling permits include 152 for the Basin, 12 for South Summit and 20 for North Summit.
