Unfortunately, after returning the requested information with payment, the applicant never hears from the company again. Teens and their parents need to beware of these offers that sound too good to be true especially offers that "guarantee" a scholarship. Also beware of any scholarships service which requires a large, "scholarship up-fro- nt search" or processing fee. Most schools have counselors which will provide this information for free. 900 Numbers: Teens can call rock stars, concert updates, teen dale lines, talk lines, etc. However, some teens are not aware that when they call a 900 or a 976 number they will be charged for the call If you are interested in phoning a 900 number, find out the charge before you call. If the charge is not listed, be sure to ask when you phone that 900 number. "The beef industry in Utah and the nation is characterized by several important changes," Godfrey said. "Production is shifting from the western states to the eastern states. The production of calves, however, is becoming increasingly important in Utah. Although Utah is not a mejor producer of agricultural products when ranked by total receipts, its production of cattle and calves (primarily beef) is still important when compared to that of other states, Godfrey said.
