The top eight places also received prize money down to $25. For the last seven months,' bowling has been a popular past women time for some thirty-tw- o iii the area, including Debbie and Marie. 'They call themselves the "Monday, Morning Ladies. There are eight teams of four .ladies .each ..who bowl every Monday from September to. At the end of each' April. bowling season a banquet is held ' and trophies are given. There are also two teams that bowl on a Morgan league on Thursday nights. Congratulations to Marie and Debbie for their first place win. ' Cresta Allen, age 15, Coalville, decided to try her luck while their . Bad Sflews Notes family was at a Medical Convention in San Antonio, Texas, by partidpating in a womens five kilometer run. Cresta came in second place with a time of 25 minutes. She was even faster than her dad who ran in the mens run with a time of 28 minutes. The North Summit High Schools Track team hasn't had much luck this season when it conies to the weather. They have only had decent weather for three out of the eight track meets they have partidpated in, and Friday, May 9th, the Region Track Competition was nO exception. It was a cold, wet and miserable day, but that didnt damper the spirits of these athletes. A lot of them placed high in many events. Under the direction of Launa Blonquist, President, and her two counselors, Nancy Fowles and Susan Ovard, the girls of die ward planned the entire evening's program. Several weeks ago they had made, up 'a questionnaire for their mothers to fill out. Questions such as What was your most embarraswere on the sing moment? sheet. A skit was then made up from the information the girls had gathered from their mothers. The night of. the program, each girl dressed up in a costume portraying her mother in 50 years. The scene was the "Henefer Old Folks Home. It was a fun, lighthearted affair as the twenty girls present portrayed their mothers and shared their likes and dislikes and their experiences in life. Dr. Wayne Bosworth, was carrying Becky as they waited in long lines for the first few rides in Disneyland. Becky has cerebral palsy. A young man realizing Becky's condition, told them not to wait in line, but to go to the exit and they would put Becky right on the rides. Everyone at Disneyland fell in love with Becky. They were all really sweet to her, especially Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, and Goofy - Donald even gave her a big kiss. Becky got a really big kick out of that. She enjoyed Disneyland a lot, thanks to a lot of people who care. Margaret Wilde of Coalville, felt pretty lucky that the tsunami that was supposed to hit Hawaii while she was there Geary Places First in Competition De Ann Geary has been named society. The Young Career Woman (YCW) by the Coalville Business and Professional Womens Club for 1986. De Ann who is Vice President of Geary Construction Inc. represented the Coalville BPW Club in a Central District competition held on April 19, 1986 at the Salt Lake Radisson Hotel. De Ann took first place at the competition and will represent the Central District at the State BPW Convention in June. Five women participated in the competition and the judging was based on the candidates career achievements and ability to project an image reflecting the role of today's young women in The Young Career Woman Program, inaugurated by The National Federation of Business and Professional Womens Gubs, Inc., in 1963, highlights the achievements of young career women and is one of the many programs sponsored by BPW to elevate file status of women. De Ann, a graduate of Dixie College, is the daughter of Deaii and Dana Geary of Coalville. She attended North Summit High School and has been active in BPW for the past two years.
