Elder Jerry Corts 00 University is inviting taxidermists to prepare exhibits for its 1983 Taxidermy Art Show and Competition beginning next March 17. The museum has sponsored the show for the past three years, but this is the first year exhibits will be judged, said Wesley R. "Skip Skidmore,- Bean Museum taxidermist and director of the show. - "The contest is for both amateurs and professionals, he It is , an opportunity to said. improve the taxidermy done in the state. Skidmore, who is president of the Utah Taxidermists Association, said the judges will be: Joe Kish, Denver, editor of Taxidermy Review; Dennis McElvain, chief taxidermist at the Denver Museum; and Jim Lawton, curator of exhibits at the Utah Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah. ... There will be three seminars in conjunction with the show, one taught by each of these visiting experts, Skidmore said. The exhibits will be hung in the museum and judged March 17, and the show will continue through April 12. There will be a S10 fee for each of the first three entries by an individual, and a S5 fee for ch entry beyond three. Wanship and has one daughter, Andrea, who is 3 Vi years old. She attended Socorro High School in New Mexico ahd received her Bachelors degree at UNN and her Masters at NMHU, both in music and education. She taught five years in New Mexico and one year in Mexico City before 'coming to Utah. Christine enjoys sewing, crocheting, cooking and traveling and is interested in playing the guitar and piano, and in singing and snorkeling. She has taught three years at North Summit and enjoys the closeness of a small school and She teaches three community.
