The serving table in the dining room was covered with an exquisite Venetian lace cloth, and centered with a mound of crimson and yellow roses. At the comers of the table were canary-colore- d princess candles in silver holders. The following matrons presided at the coffee urns: Mrs. Fred Davidson, Mrs. J. E. Cosgriff, Mrs. L. B. Brennan and Mrs. John Griffin, chairman and of the entertainment committee, Mrs. T. P. Billings, Mrs. C. Louis Collins, Mrs. J. C. Dwyer, Mrs. Alfred T. Egan, Mrs. William Foley, Mrs. L. F. Broadway Salt Lake City A meeting of importance to our Catholic women of the state was held at the Miners Union Hall, Eureka, Utah, on September -- 28th. One hundred women from Salt Lake City, Ogden, Park City, Provo, Springville and Eureka were guests of the Catholic Womans League of Eureka at luncheon which was served at one oclock under the direction of Mrs. J. D. Stack, assisted by members of the Eureka League. During the luncheon a pleasing musical program was given by members of the Young Ladies Sodality of Eureka. Following the luncheon, a business meeting was held. Mrs. F. H. Owens, President of the Catholic Womans League of Eureka, presided and welcomed the visitors.
