In order to join the auxiliary (women only) or the SonB of the American Legion you must have a sibling, parent, grandparent or spouse that was a veteran of a foreign war. In order to join the American Legion itself you need to be veteran of a foreign war, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, or the Gulf War. "You must also have the desire to makeadifferenrein the lives of people around you. The rewards are outstanding, the people you meet, the friendships you make. I guess the small amount of time I spend each month comes back in so many ways. We really need more people to get involved. There is so much good that can come out in everyone, and it takes a whole community to really make a difference, proclaimed Elaine. MRI, and a complete physical. Tina stated that "live organs (those coming from a live person's body) are better than "dead organs (those from a dead persons body) because much more testing can be done beforehand with a live person. The chances of a person accepting an organ are much greater from alive donor. The operations will take place on July 2 at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake and will be performed mainly by Dr. John M. Holman. Tina was told she will be in the operating room for two and one-ha- lf hours. Tina said she will have her left kidney removed because it "hangs down lower and is easier to get at than the right kidney. Robin will not have her bad kidney removed, the new kidney from Tina will be added and she will have three. When asked about risks of the surgery, Tina said, "Risks are there, no matter what you do. Still, my risks aren't as high as Robins. Im not too worried about it, I just pray the last kidney I have won't foil. Tina will take the month of July off work. She will stay in the hospital for five to six days and then will return home to finish her recovery. Robins recovery will take a little longer.
