Voters to decide change in government this year Based on opinions from legal counsel, the Uintah County Commissioners best option is to place a petition to change the countys form of government on the ballot in November of 2001. Uintah County Attorney JqAnnB. Stringham told commissioners it should be placed on the next municipal election, which will be in the fall of 2001. Stringhama opinion goes along with a clarification ofany opinion from the Utah Attorney Generals Office given last week which specifically sateg thattjie proposal should be placed on this years ballot. The commissioners contend that the election on the change in govem- - ment should be in 2002 because typically more voters vote in general elections versus municipal elections. Baaed on the Uintah County Attorneys decision and the Attorney Generals opinion, Uintah County Commissioners unanimously agreed Monday to piece the change in government issue on the 2001 ballot. The proposed change in government wUl create a county council of seven part-tim- e individuals who would serve with only minimal compensation. Five council members will be elected from five equal voting districts and two council members would be voted by the public large. The county council would hire an at- - will county administrator to. handle the issues of the county. 1 960 Cadillac 1973 Chevy Nova. Disney's All priced to sell!
