Board members based their decision on state regulations that prohibit buses fromcrossingover into other bus route boundaries. The request was initially presented to the school board at their March 8 meeting. At that time, some parents pointed out to the Board that a bus has been picking up children from the Arcadia area and taking them to Altamont High even though they are not in the Altamont attendance area. These parents were hoping that the Board would extend the same courtesy to their children who were opting to attend school in Duchesne. The parents made the point that their decision to send their children to school in Duchesne was based on of the Bridgeland community, and Bridgeland is in the Duchesne attendance area. They do not have an issue with Myton Elementary. They have been driving their children to the Bridgeland LD5 Church where they meet the Duchesne bus. After considering different options, the Board concluded that a change in the presentbus routes could not be logistically accomplished at this time without violating state requirements for reimbursement to thedistrictfortheirhussingexpenses. "In order for a district to be reimbursed for a bus route, that route must not overlap another bus route, explained John Aland, Duchesne ADA recognition The prestigious American Diabe- tes Association Education Recognition Certificateforaquality diabetes be your lucky number.
