Our Association is very interested in a full discussion of public education issues by both gubernatorial candidates, but the focus of the UEA Convention is to provide professional development opportunities for Utah educators. We have no intention of politicizing our convention. In addition. Rusk said, the convention schedule has been in place for months and there is no place to 'squeeze in' a debate without detracting from the intended purpose ofthe conference.
