You really don't know how good you have things til they get taken away from you. Over here we have to be careful of what we say and do because they get offended about certain things. Its a desolate country out here. They got a few trees and bushes here and there. But it's all sand. I don't know how they could live in such, a place," Utley said in his letter. He added, "We have the British out hen as well with the Army and Navy. The British people an really nice. They kill me with their accents. I probably kill them with mine. We do a lot of trading with them. We have pretty good relations with, them." Saudi Arabia is a dry country with miles and miles of sand, but it is also a place to acquin new experiences. Occasionally a consumer . will become upset when receiving tins notice for the first time. "First-time- rs" are often offended by the firm, legal-ty-pe language of the notice. At the same time, we have consumers who arc all too familiar with these notices and foil to take our wording seriously enough. If you get a notice and have a good past record, we are just trying to let you know that we do not have a record of your payment, and that you need to do something about it as soon as possible. On the ' other hand, the massage of the notice is intended to be unmistakably dear to anyone who is frequently late or who knows foil well that his bill is not paid.1 Collecting past due accounts is a costly, process. time-consu-ming some consumers will say, "Well, just cut them off is they dont pay. Unfortunately, its pot that simple. First of all, disconnecting a consumers electric service is always a last resort Sometimes it is the only way we can get a payment, but many times a consumer will simply move and not pay the bill. Also, electricity has become a product or service that is almost a necessity we are all very dependent upon. Cutting off someones electricity is the last thing we want to do. Why do we disconnect anyone at all? Simply to protect the majority of our consumers who do pay their bills on time. The more non-pay-ing consumers we must cany, tiie more bad debts and expenses we must writs off. The important thing to remember should you receive a delinquent notice, is that good communication with your nearest office will help remedy the with a NEW, RENEWAL or GIFT SUBCRIPTION to the UINTAH BASIN STANDARD $$$- - Special Rates $$$ -- In 1 Year $10 the Uintah Basin.... 2 Years $17 3 Years $24 SAVE $3 SAVE $2 SAVE$6 Out of the Uintah Basin... 1 Year $14 SAVE $5 $25 3 Years $35 SAVE $10 SAVE $20 2 Years FULL SHELVES-Duche- sne County Food Pantry workers are surrounded by food picked up by Roosevelt area scouts during the National Scouting for Food Drive, Saturday.
