Duchesne Virl Olive Minchey Mair, 78, former resident of Duchesne County, died Monday, Nov. 13, at the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden. She wu bom June 2, 1911 in Emery County, a daughter of William Edgar and Theda Ann Elliot Minchey. She married Coral Andrew Miur July 16, 1939 in Craig. He died April 23, 1979. She had resided in Duchesne County until 1948, when she moved to Ogden. She wu a member of the LDS are two daughters: Survivors 738-26- and Nelson Mr..- .'A .: Rhoades LaRaeO. grandchildren, and 14 gnat great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Owen Minchey, Ephraim; Dezella Carroll and Della Clark, both of Ogden. She wu preceded in death by three sisters. Funeral servicu wen held Nov. 16 in Ogden, and interment wu in the Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial park. L. She wu bom August 8, 1922 in Hayden, to Wilford and Emma Gunnells Gardner Oberiianaly. She married Glen don Rhoadea in 1941. They later divorced. ' She loved the mountains and camping, especially roughing it Horses wen always a special part of her life, and she wu an ardent collector of western and Indian artifacts. Christina Nation went with her son, Richard and Vickis Fitzgerald, Bridgeland, and her daughter, Patsy Marx, Hyde Park, to Morland, Idaho to attend the funeral of Chriatinae sister, Rachel Martin, who loot a battle with Carter Ames, 45, Denof Alternant, died November 19 in an Aurora, Colorado hospital of heart problems. George and Verl Nelson were in Salt Lain tor a couple of days lut week. They visited with Von and Dakru Pearson. He wu recovering from surgery. Then the Nelsons visited their eons and families in Clearfield and Bountiful. Maxine Taylor and Diane Freaton went with Larry Rou and Lee Nielsen to St. George where they attended meetings with other commissioners. They were there two days. The men of this organization elect a tree from a list of townspeople who wish to donate one, cut the tree, transport it and with the help of Moon Lake Electric, place it on the comer to add to the holiday appeal of the city. This years tree has been donated by Ellen Walker. Roosevelt City then places lights and the children of the area are invited to make decorations for the tree. Great Lakes Timer, Harry Stewart and Bill Sweeney, donate the lumber for the stand. Trucks for transportation of the tree is provided by Greg Hamilton of Basin Builders. Among the men of the American Legion who for years have Kelly and Gwen Sprouse have been called to serve a mission for the LDS Church. They entered the MTC Wednesday, Nov. 15, and will serve in the Atlanta, Georgia mission, where they will work in the temple for one year. Kelley also retired from the Roosevelt City Fire Department lut week, iter serving there for 35 years. Danny and Amy Daniels are spending Thanksgiving in Salt Lake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Daniels. Gerald Day, Heber, brought hie father and mother, Willard and Arvella Day, to visit with Willards sister, Zelma Lloyd. Willard and Arvella have been staying with Gerald during Willards recuperation from a fall. They will be returning to their home in St George next week. Zelma Lloyd will be traveling to Clinton with Jim and Delores Zobell next week where Howard Lloyd will pick her up and take her on to Mindon to spend Thanksgiving with them. Abbie and her husband, Larin Caldwell, lived in Duchesne Air years. Abbie has been in the Doxey Hatch Hospital now for thru weeks recovering from her sixth hip surgery. Harold and Ada Thomu has had their grandson, Kevin and Linda Stevenson and baby visiting here from Los Angeles.
