It is a sport enjoyed for centuries by old and young alike. This year as you head to parks and open areas to send kites soaring, keep in mind .the following safety tips from Grant J. Earl at Moon Lake Electric. Fly kites in open areas, away from power lines and moving traf- -- fic. Use dry kite string -- never wire or metal. Never fly a kite in wet or stormy weather. If a kite should get stuck on a power line, leave it there. The cost of a new kite doesn't compare with the cost of an electrical accident Earl 'asked everyone in the community to pay attention to these rules and avoid careless accidents. He suggested that parents or other adults scout for suitable laces in the neighborhood where E ite flying can be dime safely and inform their children of their location. Another precaution, he suggested would be to accompany them for at least the start of their kiteflying. -- -- -- : er -- Hatchs task force gathers opinions The, Senator Orrin Hatch, DaggettDucheane teak force met with local officiate and concerned citizens in the Rooeevelt City Coun-- . dl room March 17 to gather information on concern! from local officiate and citizens.
