Margaret Lloyd will be honored on her ninetieth birthday with an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, November 11. The open house will be held at the Roosevelt Eighth Ward Chapel on Skyline Drive. Margaret was bom on Novem-- ber 11, 1895 in Panguitch, Garfield County, to John Thomas and Maria Wesson Partridge. She married James Lloyd on October 4, 1916. As practically newly-- weds they came to the Uintah Basin in 1919 and settled in loka. The Lloyds were both com- - UINTAH BASIN STANDARD, November 6, 1985, munity minded and politically active. James sold insurance and was a farmer and rancher until his death in 1961. Margaret was the faithful homemaker, supporting her husband in his ventures, and especially known in the area for her quilting and handicraft Pag B skills. They have four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Lemon, Mrs. Ralph (Melba) Sharp, both of Vernal; Mrs, Vincent (Pauline) Faggioli, of Salt Lake City; and Deane who lives in Roosevelt Margaret has two brothers, Thomas and Arthur Partridge, both living in Panguitch. She also has 11 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are asked to help compile a memory book of times shared with you, the family request no other gifts, please. Margaret Lloyd turns 90 Monday, November 1 1 . Leavitt is SUSC Queen music, was selected first attendant. She is a member of the SUSC singing group Opus IV. She is a 1982 graduate of Duchesne High School where she was named homecoming queen. A senior theater arts major, Jayceen Marie Craven of Price, was named second attendant and Miss Congeniality. Attendant Jerilyn Leavitt, daughter of Jerry and Ecce Leavitt of Duchesne, was named first attendant to the newly crowned Miss Southern Utah State Five generations of May Wheeler Rasmussen Hubert are represented in this picture. Sherley Oven, although not actually part of her direct line, stood in for her daughter who passed away in 1983. The others in the picture are Douglas Owen, Shaine Owen, and May is holding the youngest member of the group, Alisha Lynn Owen. These quilts number among 10 handcrafted quilts which will be on display during the HQSA. More than a thousand individual quilters and several quilting groups have been working for months on these future heirlooms.
