County Track Meet The annual county track meet held each year with the three county high schools, Roosevelt, Central and Duchesne, competing . will be held in Duchesne on April 10. This important athletic event, which has been held in Roosevelt for the past several years, will be held in Duchesne for the first time this year. Each boy will be allowed to enter three events and the relays, each girl will be allowed to enter two events, and the relays. Points from the boys and girls for each school will be added up to determine the winning school. The Duchesne Eagles are lead by the fleet Homer Fitzwater, a consistent point winner. Ellsworth Curran is expected to do well in the weights with Bill Murdock in close support. On the distance races. Doug Smith, fine and Bob Kent, miler, are expected to shine. The pole vault and high jump will be well taken care of by Harvey Hatch and Carl Wilkinson. The strongest contenders far sprints, broad jump, discus and 440 will be Homer Fitzwater, Eldon Potter, Bill Murdock, Jack Fitzwater, Carol Scott and Howard Mitchell, all certain point half-mile- r, winners. The contract calls for breaching of the Strawberry Dam and Indian Creek Dike and for the demolition of miscellaneous structures at the site, located about 35 miles southeast of Heber, in Wasatch County. When the dam is breached, future water stored in the existing Strawberry Reservoir will back up behind Soldier Creek Dam to create an enlarged Strawberry Reservoir, which will become the key storage facility of the Central Utah Projects Bonneville Unit. This new reservoir will have a capacity of 1,106,500 acre-fee- t of water.
