The commissioners told than to get a copy of the project so that they get in touch with the property dwners and try to reach an agreement for the eaaemenL Health District Budget Byron Merrill and Rand Webb, representing the Uintah Basin Health District, presented the budget request for. Duchesne County for fiscal year 1984 to the commissioners. The amount they requested from Duchesne County is $61,525. The amount was approximately a 25 percent increase over 1983. The commissioners questioned Mr. Webb as to the reason for the 25 percent increase. He explained that the county has not in the past bear meeting minimum standards and that with this increase the Health District should be able to meet those standards. He also said if the county does not provide those services that the State will have it done and then bill the county. It was then moved by F. Ted Happen and seconded by Jimmie N. Reidhead that the budget request be approved. Motion Carried. Commissioner Moon voted against the motion. Lions Help No $ n right-of-way- Tom Nordstrom and Earl Hawkins met with the commissioners representing the Roosevelt Lions Club. They wanted the county to help fond the pavilion that they are building at- the regional park in Roosevelt. The commissioners couldnt commit any funds but told them that the county engineer could possibly help them get some I beams for a better price than they had been auoted. Bridge over Dry Gulch Bruce and Lawrence Brighton wanted to explain to the commissioners the problem with the bridge that the county had put - together for them over the Dry Gulch about three years ago. They had made an agreement with the county that they would purchase the material if the county would install it. When the county crew installed the bridge no braces were put in to keep the stringers apart Now water has started washing in behind and the stringers are moving in. Commissioners Moon and Kap-would go and said that Cn a look atthey the bridge to see what they felt should be done. Commissioner Reidhead had already looked at the bridge. May Tax Sale Jack Wood discussed sane ideas that he had concerning the May tax sale of property. The bidding process allowed on the land sola at the sale allows for the land to be bid down to a size that may not meet county zoning requirements. The commissioners told him to meet with the county attorney and present the ideas in a resolution which could establish rules for the May tax sale. After meeting with the county attorney the following resolutfon.waa . presented., to the commissioners for their approval. After reviewing the resolution with the county attorney it was moved by Alton N. Moon and seconded by F. Ted Happen that the resolution be approved. Motion Carried. Special Olympics Woody Reynolds extended an invitation to the commissoners to attend the areas three special Olympics to be held in Roosevelt this Friday! The commissioners then donated $100 from the county to help with the special Olympics and also each made a personal donation.
