St Helen's Parish holds a special place in his heart and certainly Father Garvey will always be remembered for his devotion to St Helens and his tremendous energy. Indeed, he has his work cpt out for him he will need all that energy, and our prayers will always be with him. Father Garvey's new address is: Rev. James R. Garvey, Our Lady of Lourdes Rectory, 1085 East 7th South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102. The Folk Mass sounds great it has been a very long time since we have had one at St Helen's. A prayer for nurses and doctors by Father Dave: God, Our Loving father, we praise and thank you for the wonderful healing work you do in our world through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ We thank and praise you that you share that healing power with us your children. We ask you to bless this whole assembly tonight which has come together to honor that power of healing which you share in a very special way with our brothers and sisters - our doctors and nurses. We ask your particular blessing on these seven graduate nurses here tonight Watch over them in a special way and anoint them with healing power of your Holy Spirit so that everyone who cranes under their influence as they fulfill their vocation as nurses may experience the gentle, healing love that you wish to give through them. And may they bring joy, peace and comfort to every single person they nurse. Loving Father we ask you this in Jesus name. Amen.
