Margo Adams was the pianist. All the candles on the Advent wreath were lighted, signifying the fact of the birth of Jesus. This Advent wreath was a gift to the Myton church from Lance Ziegler and Kathy Pederson, Ogden. Following the XCall to Worship and the opening hymn, Charles Fifield read the story of the birth of Jesus from the Book of Luke. Mr. Thompson entitled his talk, The Appreciation of Christmas" and spoke of the fact that although there is pain and suffering in the world, because of that first Christmas there is joy and praise in the world, there is hope in the world and there is salvation. In concluding his talk and encouraging his listeners in appreciating the true meaning of Christmas, Thompson asked, "What if He had not come?" The congregation received a Christmas card from Jane and Charles Thompsen and their address is posted on the bulleting board. Next Sunday's speaker will be Slum Forsyth. Refreshments and fellowship were enjoyed at the conclusion of the worship service with Sarah Harvey and Kay Smith providing the goodies and Dots Griffin preparing the coffee and punch. Happy New Year to all readers of this column. You are invited to begin the new year by visiting the Myton Church and joining in the worship service. 3U A V DUCHESNE SECOND WARD Percy, Erma, Percy Jr., Mark 722-282- Smiley's Sporting Goods Charles and Margo Denver 94 No. 2nd East 722-299- SUNDAY 9 A Sac - Enterprises E. 722-519- S & Employees 2nd N. 6 Altamont V S.NL4Y: Hanna Service West Hwy 40 722-428- 1 Sunday.
