Show Temple wedding for Miss Gilbertof art One-ma-n 0 exhibit in Roosevelt Miu Karen Gilbert, daughter Mr. and Mra. Howard Gilbert, Roosevelt, it engaged to marry Kevin Rasmussen, son of Mrs. Kay Rasmussen and the late Gayle Rasmussen. The bride-to-bgraduated from Union high school and attended Snow College. She is presently employed at Safeway. Mr. Rasmussen is a graduate of Union high school and is employed by Mt View Enterprises, Roosevelt. The couple plan to be married Aug. 23 in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception will be held Aug. 24 at the Roosevelt Stake Center. Following their marriage, the couple will be at home in Roosevelt uit 2, 1079 artist's works were seen in the Festival of the Arts, Provo; the Salt Palace, Salt Lake City; and, most recently, at the House of Fine Art, The Roosevelt Area Visual Arts art Guild is sponsoring a e STANQAED-Auq- one-ma- n show by Dennis R. Stott Duchesne artist and teacher. The exhibit will be offered Aug. 1, 2, and 8 in Roosevelt at Overland Trust and Loan. The artist will show a variety of figurative paintings, landscapes, and drawings, with local scenery depicted in many of his works. The public is invited to view this introduction of Stott's work to the .Basin. Earlier this year, many of the Heber City. Stott, who has resided and taught in Duchesne for the past four years, was educated in Northern California and has had showings of his art in the Sacramento area at the Kingsley Annual Show, the Orland Show and many others. He attended Brigham Young Univer; sity, served aa a Spanish linguist in the U.S. Air Force, and is presently a staff member at BYU as a tree surgeon appren- tice. The couple plan to be married Aug. 16 in the Salt Lake Temple. Following their marri-- , age, the couple will be at home in Provo. Piano awards announced Michael Gentry, grandson of Mrs. Gentry, Myton, was among three Casper students to earn some of the highest honors given by the National guild of Piano Teachers. Gentry earned the high school diploma in piano in 1979 and the advanced Bach medal in 1977. An active percussionist, he participated in High School Bands and Band and has performed for several Casper area bands and 1 .11a All-Sta- te orchestras.
