Show 2001 United Way fit Volunteer Center Active utilizes volunteers in a number of ways: a support group leaders; in our Community Integration Program, and for activities based out of the Center. For volunteer opportunities such as assisting at ADA CelebraRe-Ent- ry tions, parties, and other activities, call , v-- 637-.4950,- '.. ;':' The one probably most recognized in the community is with the PAWS Program (People and Animals Working to Serve). Here volunteers and their certified animal partner make visits to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and khools. For more information on the requirements of becoming cer5 or tified with an animal call 637-561- CEU Stay n Alive by Chris Pehler The Stayn Alive Program will be starting soon in the fall. The program will consist of an education group and a telephone crisis hotline. We are looking for volunteers from ages 1 6 and up to be on the, education team and the hotline team.
