Show 2001. : United Way & Volunteer Center Each year the Community Volunteer Center sponsors a prom for the students at the Castle Valley Center. The prom is held in April for the celebration of Nation Youth Service Day (NYSD). The school provides training for the ; youth volunteers to increase their knowledge of working with people with disabilities, in turn the volunteers hold a dance class, decorate for the event, provide promenade escorts and clean up after the fun. Carbon High has donated the decorations from their prom to. the Castle Valley Center for the past two yean and various other businesses donate flowers, refreshments and the extras, like a bubble machine, to make the day extra special. The collaborative efforts of many people within the community have made , the prom a success in the past, and the future proms are guaranteed to be even more fun.
