patrick harington a miner employ ed at the grand central mine was killed instantly by falling rock shortly after midnight last night harington was preparing to put in a set of timbers between the and foot levels and in doing so loosened some rock and dirt which came down upon him one large boulder struck him on the forehead and broke his neck he was partially covered when butch hayworth who was running a car m that part of the mine discover ed him harington was about 40 year of age and unmarried but haa brothers and sisters living at butte he has been employed at the grand central for a number of years and was well known throughout gintic tintic the body was brought to eureka to day but the date of the funeral has not been set inquest was held before judge barnett in mammoth this morning
