SUSAN B ANTHONY DEAD great suffragist succumbs to attack of heart failure rochester N Y the long and eventful life of susan anthony closed at 12 40 clock monday morn ing the end came peacefully miss anthony had been unconscious for twenty tour hours and her death had been momentarily expected since sunday night only her wonder ful constitution kept her alive di M S richer her attending physician said miss anthony died of heart fall ure induced by double pneumonia miss anthony was taken ill on her way home from the national suffrage convention n baltimore she stopped in new york where a banquet was to be given february 20 in honor of her eighty sixth birthday but had an attack of neuralgia on the and hastened home pneumonia developed after her arrival here and on march 5 both lungs became affected
