postmaster HELD UP IN HIS OFFICE weiser ida A lone highwayman held up the alpine post postoffice office and store Sa saturday night securing 30 in noney from prom reports brought to this city it appears that M L wilkerson Wll kerson the postmaster and proprietor of the store was alone about 8 0 cloak in the evening when a stranger entered with a white mask on his face who immediately drew a revolver on him and commanded him to lie ile down on the floor mr wilkinson did as requested while the robber went through the money drawer taking all the money he then left in the dark ness mr wilkerson notified neigh bors bore and a search was made for the robber but he had disappeared his 1 mask was found a short distance from the postoffice post office officers have been notified and a search Is being made alpine Is alft fifth miles from weiser in the northern portion of the county the robber was a stranger to the postmaster
