DIAZ ELECTED PRESIDENT will be at head of mexican govern ment for next six years the formal election for the dent of the republic of mexico took place monday the electors met transacted their business and an bounced the election of portfolio Port forio diaz as president and ramon cor ral as vice president the election took place two weeks ago the fol lowing day the president announced in a proclamation inasmuch as there was no opposition to himself or mr corral they were elected by the people subject to the board of electors which met monday the electors were named last week by the various states and met for the purpose of announcing to the republic and to the world that for six years porforio diaz would be president and ramon corral vice president the election was received with general alon throughout the country
