Hertz! new (J m Ramada Inn of Pocatello will be managed by Hotel Management Group, Inc., a Salt Lake based acquisition and development firm. Gary R. Hansen has been appointed to the newly created position of public relations director for American Coal Company. Offices for the new department are in the American Coal Company headquarters building at 31 North Main in Huntington. American Coal Company is the contract mining operator for five coal mines in Emery County which are owned by Utah Power & Light American Coal Company. employs 900 people in coal mining operations and support services and handles 2.5 million tons of coal annually (1977-projected- ). Hansen was previously with Kennecott Copper Corporation's Utah Copper Division at Salt Lake City as a public relations officer. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and has been president of the Intermountain Chapter of that organization. Fred M. King, executive vice president of Deseret Alarm Systems, one of the original founders of the company in 1955, has been named president of the LICENSEE 120-roo- compay. Jim Wines who has been president and chairman of the board will remain as chairman. Edward A. May, sales manager of Deseret Alarms, has been appointed vice president of Industrial Relations. Gary A. York and Associates, CPAs, has purchased York the accounting practice of Morley R. Sprague and James E. Hook, new onwers of Arrow Press Square. York, previously with Genesco, Inc. of Nashville and Sea Pines Co. of South Carolina, is vice president of the Salt Lake Area Chapter of the National Association of Accountants. His new office is located at 2210 E. 4800 So. Jac Koeman, U.S. distributor of Van den berg products, a Dutch furniture manufacturer, has been named to represent two Dutch trade organizations. Koeman said he will represent DUFEX, a Dutch furn- iture export organization whose membership includes a number of manufacturers. He will also represent NEC, another export organization representing industries in several fields. Koeman founded his im- porting firm, International Trade Associates, in 1974 after resigning the vice presidency of the then Utah-base- d Foreign Study League. Officcd at 3528 S.
