Show iruiijuni, iu li tif Couple To Note 50th Anniversary Mr. and Mr. Elmer H. Rogers observed their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2 at their home. Because of the illness of Mrs. Rogers no festivities were planned. The couple was married July 2. 1927 in Logan, and the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple a short time later. Elmer Rogers was born in Lewiston, Utah, Oct. 9, 1899, the son of Emily and Elisha Rogers. For many years he worked for the Anderson Lumber Company. He has been a scoutmaster and a home teacher in his LDS ward. He spends his free time fishing. Ruby Rogers was born March 27, 1897, in Thayne, mm&km ii House Guests Honor Couple daughter of Hokan and Elizabeth Ann Michael-so- n Hokanson. She has held positions in her LDS ward such as secretary for the Junior Sunday School for 20 years, secretary of the girls program in MIA for many years and a visiting teacher in Relief Society. LEWISTON LEARNINGS Judy Henry and children, Brian and Joslyn (Sasha) returned home by Amtrak Thursday after spending the week with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Jenkins. James E. Brown, of Archie Jenkins, returned home to Cleveland, Ohio, where he was scheduled to be in the parade in Cleveland on the Fourth' of July, in Pittsburg the 5th of July and Dallas, Texas, the 6th of July. Jim is a Lt. Colonel in the U S. Marine Corps Reserves. On Saturday afternoon a lawn party was held in honor of Leda Sutherland for her birthday anniversary at her home. A fun afternoon with family members was enjoyed by everyone. Nielsen happily report that their granddaughter, Terri Beth Nielsen, was united in marriage to Emory Joseph Smith III. The bride is the youngest daughter of Dr. LaMar C. Nielsen and his wife, Jean, Burley, Idaho. The grooms parents are Mr. invited to attend. Mrs. Clayton C. Nielsen, grandmother of the bride, was not able to attend the activities. Clayton Nielsen accompanied his daughter, Ida Merle, and her husband, DeVerl Call, Twin Falls, Idaho, to Salt Lake City where they were present for the marriage ceremony which took place in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Friday, their children have been holding family reunions. This year, with 39 present, they met at Friendship Camp in Blacksmith Fork Canyon on July 9 and 10. Saturday night they had a program while gathered around a bonfire. Sunday morning they held their own Sunday School meeting. July 8.
