He is Mrs. Cantwells and church. great-grandso- third great-grandchil- Grandparents are Marge and Dr. Clair Cantwell. She was gone three weeks and enjoyed Thanksgiving with them before flying home. Proud grandparents, Earl and Pearl Gordon were pleased to hear their grandson, Edward W. Minnig was promoted from PFC to the grade of SP4-E4. Edward graduated from Weber High School, in 1971, in Ogden and has been a member of the Army reserve most of the time since. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Minnig of Ogden. He is married to the former LuAnn McMurdie. daughter of LaRee and Ray McMurdie of Logan. LaRee is the Gordons daughter. Sp4 Minnig is assigned to the motor maintenance section of the 854th. Beth Lamb is home following a three week visit with her daughter and family, Susan and David Petersen and children, DeAnna and Michelle, in Missoula, Mont. They came and got her. They had lunch with three different friends, went to a silver wedding anniversary brothers wife, Margaret Merrill Olney, who died of an apparent heart attack. She is the wife of Cless Olney. The Family Home Evening group met Monday evening at the home of Wilda and Ruel Plowman. They studied Acts and Romans then a discussion followed. Refreshments were served by Wilda to Verla and Edwin Noble, Rosella and Elliott Thornley, Beth Lamb, Bernard Hinds, Elsie Hubbard and special guests, Bessie and T. Earl Allsop. The next meeting will be at the home of the Nobles. Mrs. Nora Richards enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with her son and family, Phyllis and Max Richards and daughters, Nansi, Jeri and Jill in Franklin, Idaho. Patricia Christensen, a daughter of Mrs. Richards, telephoned her mother Thanksgiving Day from Monticello, Utah, and sent Thanksgiving greetings. Ward LDS The Seventh Primary, under the direction of President Marilyn Craig, held their Christmas party in the ward cultural hall for officers, teachers and partners. It was an old fashioned Christmas and the hall was decorated as was a Christmas tree. Susan Douglass was the chairman. The James Pond family gave the musical program. Kenneth Roe read The Night Before Christmas and the audience acted it out. There was an exchange of white elephant gifts. Christmas carols were sung by the group. Larene and Earl Cox and Sherri spent the weekend with her parents, Edna and Quinn Plowman. Ruby and Hazen Hillyard had as Thanksgiving day and weekend guests their three granddaughters. Ann and her husband, Robert Simpson; Helen Davis and Carol Egbert all of Provo, where they are attending school at BYU. They all had Thanksgiving dinner with the Hillyards daughter, Evelyn and Lavor Hansen in Amalga. Hazen Hillyard is home from the Logan and the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after a four weeks stay. Eunice Cooley, president, welcomed everyone and a dinner prepared by the presidency was served to 25 members and two guests on Christmas decorated tables. An enjoyable program arranged by Helen Rigby was presented with Darlene Benson playing a harmonica solo and also a vocal solo, accom- - panying herself on the guitar. A Christmas story was given by Helen Rigby and a melody of Christmas carols was played on the auto-chor-d by Julene Ravsten of Clark-stowho also sang several duets with her mother, Francis Ravsten. n, The guests who enjoyed this pleasant afternoon were Francis R. She is presently a senior at Utah State University and will graduate in the spring with a degree in communication and theater arts. John graduated from Sky View High School and Seminary in 1971. He fulfilled an LDS mission to the Australia Melbourne Mission. He is presently a junior at Utah State majoring in history.
