Larsen of Preston went to see the Mormon Miracle'' pageant at Manti one day last week. Mrs. Roliert Mitchell and children of Corona, Calif., have been visiting the past week with her mother, Mrs. Nettie Nielsen, and other relatives. Mrs. Nielsen took her daughter and family as far as St. George last Friday where her husband, Robert, met his family and returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Arlando Larsen went to Willow Flat a week ago Saturday and Sunday for a camp out. Their children, Debbie and Craig, and his mother, Mrs. Roah Larsen, joined them Sunday for dinner and they all returned home together. On the weekend of July 15, family members of Mrs. Beatrice Johnson of Preston went to Willow Flat for an outing. They were the Jesse Johnson family of Egypt, Aldous Weight family of Brigham City, Mrs. Lee Winslow and family of Salt Lake City, Arvis Paschal family of Ogden, A1 Johnson family of Riverton, Norman Fife family of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Beatrice Johnson of Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Haglund and family of Ogden were here over the 24th visiting with the Dee Petterborg family. They all went to Lava Hot Springs on July 24 for a swim and picnic. Mr. and Mrs. Theo Covert and her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rick DcMoss of Logan and her two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Johnson of Green River, Wyo., and Tim Johnson of Preston spent eight days recently in the northwest. They went deep sea fishing. The Preston Fifth ward girls softball team won the stake championship when they played last Wednesday evening at the Franklin Stake ball diamond. The girls on the team are Pat Johnson, Shelly Porter, Patricia Randall, Suzanne Owen, Janlne Johnson, Judy Petterborg, Sonjia Covert, Peggy Knudsen, Pamela Moser, Ter-es- e Porter, Joene Johnson, Nancy Randall, Shelley Johnson, Alvona Johnson, Blanche Alder and Mary Porter. Their coach is Betty Keller. Mrs. Julia Oliverson is visiting with her children in Murray and Kearns. ' ,r. Dee Petterborg, Lester Owen and Demar Merrill of Preston went on their Hondas to Flaming Gorge a week ago Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gregory took their family on an outing July 24 through the Grace area. It was their son Tony's birthday anniversary. Citizen Photo Chilian Family Visits WHITNEY Mr. and Mrs. William Davis are enjoying a visit with their daughter, Mrs. L. T. Hansen and sons, Mark and Eric, of Santiago, Chili. She and her husband, Lt. Col. Hansen and children have been residing there the past four years and have now come back to the Slates. He did not aecomoanv his family to Whitney and is at Homestead U. S. Air Foree base in Florida where he will soon be released. He and his family will make their home in Auburn, Ala., where he will attend Auburn University to complete his masters degree in Political Science. He has spent Id years in the Air Force and was in all three wars including World War II, the Korean and the Vietnam wars. He was decorated in all three wars.
