Mr. Telinlha IUiMBieB Clinton and Bonnie Dahlberg returned home from Amarillo, Texas where they ahd been to see his brother and her son, Harry Dahlhcrt. who was hurt in a truck accident. They found him to be as good as could be expected. He will soon be sent to a Salt Lake hospital where he will remain for about three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson and family from Virginia are here visiting his mother, Anna Johnson, they will spend a week here and in Salt Lake before returning home. Visitor for most of the week at the Beatrice Lundbcrg home were her son, David, from Holly, Colorado and his in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith and Ted and Debbie and a friend, Patsy Sena. They all went to Salt Lake Friday and visited Temple Square Friday night. Telintha Rasmussen made two trips to Salt Lake last week on business. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Bird and children from Linden were here at the Zane Asay home visiting. They ail went to Flaming Gorge and camped for two days. Last week Verge Asay and daughter Gwen went to Brigham City and visited at the Glade Evans home for a day. Here fur the UBIC from Sacramento, California, were Mrs. Phillis Chapman and daughter, kay, and family. They visited at the Zane Asay home and others in the area. Mrs. Chapman will be remembered as Phillis Page who grew up here in Roosevelt. Doctor and Mrs. Gordon Langford and four children from Brazil, South America were in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Kettle met them there for a short visit, Mrs. Langford and Mrs. Kettle are sis- ters. The young couple were married in the Altamont Ward Cultural hall, on August 4, by Bishop Paul Bird. A reception honored the pair the same evening in the cultural hall, in Altamont, and the bride and groom stood against a back drop of white, to greet their guests, with an arch of garlands, green fern and pink roses. Pedastals stood on each side of the arch and on each pedastal was a bouquet of pink roses and delphiniums. The bride was lovely in a gown of nylon and tafeta that was styled with a high neck, full skirt and long sleeves. It was trimmed in lace with a lace and tafeta sash. Her flowers were pink roses and carnations trimmed with ribbons of rose and white, tied with rose and white streamers. Serving the bride as matron of honor was Rhea Carter, Maid of honor was Susan McDonald. The matron of honor wore a gown of pink satin with an empire waist and sash, with can sleeves and high neckline. The maid of honor wore a gown of rose crepe with an empire waist and sash, and had a high neckline and cap sleeves. Their flowers were a pink rose in the center of white carnaions with pink streamers. Flower girls were Sandra McDonald and Shelly Bastian, one of the girls wore a pink satin gown with an empire waist, cap sleeves and a high neckline the other girl wore a gown, same style but of rose crepe. Both wore a matching sash. The brides mother wore an afternoon two piece suit with gold buttons and wore a corsage of white carnations with a pink rose in the center on a bed of pink ribbon. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Frisby were here visiting at her parents home the Jr. Betts home. Visitors at the Jess Miller home for the weekend were Isabell and Becky Miller and Beverly Phillips from Indiana. They were on their way to California. Pauline and Annette Cook spent a day in Provo visiting and seeing about entering the B.Y.U. again this Fall. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murphy and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee and family both took their campers and visited Glac-e- r Naional Park in Montana, then went into Canada and visited the temple there. They were gone ten days. The baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ruckman was blessed and named Raymond James, by his father in Sacrament meeting Sunday. The Blaine Einersons have a new grandaughter, bom July 8, 1973 at the Duchesne County hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Phillips. She weighed 5 lbs. 11 ozs. and was named by her greatgrandfather, D.B. Robinson in Sacrement meeting Sunday and given the name of Carrie Ellen. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Phillips of Roosevelt and another great grandparent Carrie Wilgus of Colorado. Carrie Betts died last Saturday and was buried Tuesday. Her funeral was held in one of the Roosevelt wards. She was buried in the Roosevelt cemetery. Carry use to live here in Ballard and raised her family here, then moved to Roosevelt. UNITES LOCAL COUPLE Sue Ann Henderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Henderson of Neola, is now the bride of Bruce Roy Green. They were united in holy matrimony during a double ring ceremony in the Provo Temple, on July 26. Bruce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Green of Neola. The brides dress was floor length and of Satin with an overlay of ruffle on ruffle A reception honored the young couple on July 27, in the Neola Ward Chapel, where the newly weds greated friends and neighbors against a backdrop of Gold behind an archway of yellow and white flowers and lighted posts topped with yellow, orange and white flowers. of lace. The neckline was high and the bodice was set in lace. The sleeves were long and full and the long cuffs were buttoned with covered buttons. The waist length veil fell from a crown of satin and lace and encrusted with beads. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white daisies centered with large yellow mums and orange baby breath, and tied with yellow streamers. A sister of the bride, Kathy Scott, served as matron of honor. She wore a gown made of floral chiffon of yellow, orange and pink and carried a nosegay of white daisies, yellow mums and orange roses. Bridesmaids were Diana Mecham, a sister of the bride, Patty Wilkerson and Lorie Green, both sisters of he groom. Marty Mecham and Lisa Scott were the flower girls. Their gowns were of floral chiffon of yellow, orange and pink over yellow. The flowers were nosegay's of white daisies, yellow mums, surrounding orange roses with baby breath. Flower girls carried small nosegay's to match the flowers in the brides maids. The Mother of the bride wore a floor length yellow knit princess style gown and wore a corsage of orange roses with yellow ribbon. Hostess for the occasion was Norma Crozier. The three tiered cake was white, with yellow trim and topped with wedding bells. Kristy Neil-sosister in law of the bride and an aunt, Afton Bromley and cousin Kathy Harrison all of Duchesne, were in charge of the gifts. Sitting at the guest book was Julia Buchanan. Hank Swain was master of ceremonies for a program which consisted of Dorothy Luck singing two songs one a comical and one a love song. An organ melody by Fern Oberhansley. Joseph works for his brother, Norman, in California. Those that attended the temple excursion at Provo last Saturday from Ballard were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth dress with a white top and pink skirt, and wore a corsage similar to the one worn by the mother of the bride.
