Leland Mecham will be the Instructor for the five week session. Mr. Mecham has been a professional saddle-makfor seven years and has recently taken first place at the Utah State Fair In advanced leatherwork. The class, beginning August 9, Is planned to take In all types of leatherwork. There will be both a beginners class scheduled for Monday and Wednesday nights and an advanced class planned for Tuesday and Thursday nights. The place of Instruction Is to be arranged. The class will be a course with thirty hours of Instruction. A registration fee of $24.00 will be required plus a $6.00 laboratory fee. Teena and Bruce Gibbons and daughfew days with her sister, Maurlne Bellon and family. Mrs. Rleta Hamblin finished her summer schooling at USU Logan and returnee home this weekend with a certificate for elementary teaching and a minor in library and science. Her son Alden also completed his required hours and will graduate from BYU In August. Alden his wife Ilene and daughter live In Sprlng-vill- e and he has temporary employment with the Bureau of Reclamation and will be working on the Central Utah Project. Weekend of the 15th Mrs. Leola Freston visited In Salt Lake with her son Edward and Jan and attended the Marett family reunion at Taylorsville Park where she visited with her mother and other family members. The Ricky Mountain Wranglers held a fund raising horsemanship exhibition and a movie at the Little Tear Drop arena Thursday evening. Barry Mortensen came from Draper and got his sister Hope Shaw and family taking them to the city to spend a week with Hopes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Mortensen. David Hunt supervised a group of eighteen second ward scouts that walked and carried a back pack into the chain lakes for five days. Approval was given for $400,000 for construction of facilities at Flaming Gorge Recreation Area. This was $200,000 more than approved by the House. The Subcommittee approved $355,000 for the purchase of replicas of the Golden Spike Locomotives at the Golden Spike National Historic Site. Also approved were $50,000 additional for construction of access roads to National Park. Another $60,000 was approved toward the completion of Jones Hole Fish Hatchery. PFC Randy Goodrich and his wife Barbara arrived in Trldell Saturday night. PFC Goodrich has been stationed at Ft. Ord, Calif. Randy will leave Tuesday for Ft. Gordon, Ga., where he has been assigned. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bowden from Salt Lake are visiting at the Rae and Dennis Goodrich homes over the weekend. While here they attended the Bowden reunion at the Trldell Chapel grounds Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Strlngham and sons from Saskatoon, Canada are visiting at the Rae Goodrich home for the next several days. They arrived In Trldell Wednesday night. The baby's arm was broken and the car was damaged but they were able to drive to Fresno, Calif., where Debbie and children planned on slaying.
