They will be judged on 19 will be opened to the puband August lic August 20 and 21. Also, the jars will not bo opened by the Judges. Special rules for the clothing and needlework Division are ; 1. No entry will be accepted which has won a prize In any previous fair. 2. All entries must ba the work of the exhibitor. 3. All artrlcles must be completed. 4. Soiled articles will not be accepted. All the residents of Duchesne county are encouraged to bring In their arts and crafts and goods. The Judges from past years have commented on the superior quality of the goods that have been judged. All canning exhibits are to be In standard canning jars. 5. AH jars must be labeled with name of product and date of canning on bottom of jar. 6. Canned foods exhibits must have been completed within Entries sought for 71 Duchesne County Fair Residents are being urged to participate In the Garden and Art Show of the Duchesne County Fair. Exhibits will Include all grown flowers, flower arartificial arrangements, rangements, houseplants, table settings, as well as any art work; paintings In oil or watercolor, crayons, pastels, chalks, posters, drawings and sketches. There are exhibits for all ages, Juniors, adults and Golden ages In gardening, flower arranging and painting. Janet Thacker returned home Mis-hain- Bronco tonrney to be held in Roosevelt Giant Whitetop comes to Uintah County area League president A1 Barney announces the coming of a Bronco Tournament to Roosevelt July 28, 29 30 and 31. The Tournament chairman is Paul Murphy. Mr. Murphy Is now setting up needed committees. Anyone interested In helping please call Mr. Murphy or Mr. Barney. Mr. Murphy has been helping to set up the behind the scene machinery of a tournament and the league expressed appreciation for his work. Spraying of the noxious weed, giant whitetop, was done last month In the Jensen area. Dr. Vaughn Hunsaker, soil and agronomy specialist with the Utah State University extension service, reported that the weed had become abundant In parts of Uintah County. Giant Whitetop Is not as widely spread as regular whitetop but It has extensive root system and could soon become a serious threat to the productive areas of the County.
