Mrs. Betty Jensen was a Salt lake City visitor last Saturday. Ronda Searle from Salt Lake visited last week at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jorgensen. Ronda Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Searle who live In Hogeklss, Colo. Mr. and Mrs, Ivan Rogers went to Salt Lake Sunday to get their daughter, Judl, who has been visiting for the past week with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mike and a cousin Lydia Jensen. Mr. and Mrs, Norman. Rogers and daughter, Geraldine, were visitors in the Basin this past weekend. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs, William Chandler and here to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler and family from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McKee and family from Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Morton Chandler and family from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs, Melvin Davis and family from Wyoming. Also Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Chandler attended the anniversary. Rasmussen, Arcadia, August 1 In the LapoInt Chapel. Bishop Kenneth Hartle officated and relatives and close friends witnessed the ceremony. The wedding march was played by Kenna Dee Hartle. A wedding reception honored the newlyweds that evening In the LapoInt ward The bride and groom cultural hall. greeted guests under an archway with white rose buds entwined with orchid bow. Two ribbon and a large orchid flower arrangements of white and orchid mums flanked the archway and two arrangements of orchid flowers stood near the cake table. th The bride wore an satin dress with high neckline complimented by a cameo pin, an overlay of lace on the bodice, hill sleeves of satin lace cuff, an empire with a three-inc- h waistline and a bow at the back holding a long flowing train. Her veil of bridal Illusion fell in two layers to the shoulders and one layer to the floor. It was caught by a satin headpiece featuring a bow with roses. Her bouquet was a large lavendar orchid, surrounded by 20 carnations which cascaded In a train like fashion. It had silver and white lace around It with orchid leaves and orchid and white satin ribbon streamers. Attending the bride were Reta Ann Mec-hasister of the bride, as matron of honor; Marilyn Lamb, maid of honor; Roma Jean Wooley, Kayla Lee Walker, Teresa Lamb, Brldemalds, and Rechelle Mecham, flower girl. The matron of honor wore an dress of floral print with orchid background. The maid of honor and brldemalds all wore floral print with an orchid background. They featured empire waistline and square neckline. The matron and maid of honor each carried a nosegay of mums and carnations, and the bride maids carried baskets of white and orchid carnations. The brides mother wore a light blue knit dress with white trim and the mother of the groom wore a beige dress. Their corsages were white and orchid carnation. The grandmothers also wore matching carnations. Lanny Rasmussen, brother of the groom, was best man to the groom, assisted by ushers, Merlin Randy Huber, Micheal L. Huber, Greggory Daren Huber and Dusty Mecham, all brothers of the bride, and Steve Rasmussen, a cousin of the groom. Assisting at the reception were Micheal, Brent and Gary Huber, Kenny and Glenny, Steven and Lee Ann Lamb and rg Danny Shields, gift bearers; Christy sat at the guest book; Kathy Harm-sto- n, Velene Esplln, Kenna Dee Hartle, Dixie Moore, Mrs. Margaret Walton, Mrs. Glenny Huber, Mrs. JoAnn Nelson and Mrs. Karen Huber helped with the gifts. Vona Houtz, Genny Nielson, Merl and Irva Huler helped In the kitchen; Janet, Debbie, Kathy and Cherlyn Lamb, Brenda and Sherry Huber were serving the wedding cake and frappee. Larsen reunion held at Roosevelt City park Larsen reunion was held at the RooCity Park Sunday Aug. 24. The family of Bernard (Buzz) Larsen and Mary Larsen former residents of Roosevelt. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Larsen and children, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Larsen and children, Mr. and Mrs. Woddy (Marlann) Martin and children, Mr. and Mrs. Dave (Lorraine) Warren and children, Mr. and Mrs. Phil (Arlene) Washburn and children, Becky Larsen and fiance, Wayne, Cherrle, Randy, and Mrs. Cyrus (Anna) Larsen, (Buzz's mother). A picnic lunch and barbecued steaks were enjoyed. The wedding cake, which was six tiers, with 12 layers, was made and decorated by Wilma Haslem assisted by Lora Pike and Lois Bird who also made the flower arrangements. Gifts were handled by Wilma Haslem and Viola Luke. Mary Mohlman presided at the guest book. The wedding party was honored at a wedding dinner at the Chuck-A-Rafollowing the ceremony. For their reception a silver backdrop and lighted pillars topped with fern ar rangements and baskets of lavender dah lias set the decor. Mrs. . The matron of honor and the Junior bridesmaid wore green and the other attendants wore like lavender street length gowns of chiffon and taffeta with empire waistlines defined with velvet ribbon. They carried nosegays of small lavender mums and baby breath. Mrs. Carol Cloud was hostess. The mother of the bride wore a lavender dress and the mother of the brideBoth groom a green, both street-lengt- h. wore corsages of lavender mums.
