Show MINING COMMENT, One of the largest suits filed in a mining case in this state for some time was that of the Regul ator Mining com pany,of Alta, against the famous Emma, on Wednesday last. Damages are asked in the sum of $200,000. It appears by the prayer of the complaint that the Emma people have been working under it and taking out its ore. It appears that the location of the Regulator companys claims are up on the mountain above the Emma, and that all the time they have been going down with their shaft and other workings, The Emma people have been driving long tunnels under them and taking out their rock. Some time ago the Regulator folks while sinking, unexpectedly came upon the drift of the Emma. They followed it up and claim to have found something like 1900 feet of tunnel on their ground, mostly in ore. The Emma mine is a British corporation and was organized many years ago. It is famous in the history of mining; nearly as famous as the old FlagstalT, the mine close to it, where General Grant was induced to part with several of his good hard dollars.
