Show 4 ANDREWS-WENDE- L Howard Leon Andrew and Mis Jea-nin- e Irene Wendel, were wed in a ceremony performed January 24, in the presence of the immediate families at the Wendel home by Bishop Homer E. Wade of the Granger Tenth Ward, in Salt Lake. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wendel of Salt Lake. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard I). Andrews of Roosevelt. Special guests were Mrs. Homer E. Warde, Mr. and Mrs. James Hart and Betty Gilbert. The ring was designed and cast by the groom, who makes jewelry as a hobby. A wedding dinner was enjoyed following the ceremony. An open house is being planned for February 23 at the Andrews residence in Roosevelt. For the present the couple will be living in Huntington where the groom has been working the past year. PALMER-CHAPMA- the Carma Hansaker was mistress of ceremonies for a program consisting of Merna Batty, Lorna and Vicki Brotherson and Corrine Calder singing a medley of songs. Lorna Brotherson and Jackie Tucker, a song. Vickie Brotherson and Jack Christensen, two love songs, accompanied by Carma Hunsaker. The Esplins played for dancing after the reception. The three tiered wedding cake was ded corated with white icing, and clusters of flowers. Sugar wedding tails adorned the top. The cake was made by Ellen Palmer and decorated by Sarah tae Kettle. Special guests attending the wedding ceremony were mother of the bride, Morris Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Roderick L. Elder President Boyer officiated. Karen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl S. Palmer, Vernal and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roderick L. Chapman, Tridell. After the ceremony the grooms parents hosted the bridal party to a luncheon at the A reception to honor the newlyweds was held January 11 in Vernal's 1st ward chapel. Decorations were in yellow and green with grecian pillars and daisy flower bouquets with yellow ribbon streamers. The bride was dressed in a hand made gown of satin and lace. The sleeves and skirt were full with a high neckline with set in lace. The bodice and sleeves were designed with lace and a ruffle on the bottom of the skirt was of lace. She wore a floor length veil of bridal net with a lace crown. Gift bearers were sisters of the groom and a cousin and friend of the bride, Candee and Kay Chapman, Marcie Lake, and Laura Ralphs. Assisting in the gift room were Sister Teresa Rowan, tala Batty and Leslie Holt. Part of his talk was based on a sermon given by Bishop Gerald Kennedy of the Methodist Church. Accompanied by his wife, Mr. Douglas has been a frequent speaker at the Myton church. Recognition was made of it being Boy Scout Sunday, Scouts present were introduced to the congregation.
