Add grated cheese, or small green onions cut up, small pieces of baron is tasty also. Fruit is another way to liven up the muffins. Add chunks of apple, peaches, cherries, cranberries, other berries or apricots. Jams in the middle of the batter, also makes for a surprise that is pleasing. Take left over pancakes and place fruit or meal fillings in the center fold over and place in a baking pan. Cover with some kind of sauce, depending on the type of filling and bake. It's gisid, different and with a salad and dessert you have a complete meal. With taxes, ear registeration and other end of the year expenses, the meal budget is at its lowest. Try the chili, stew, chicken and noodles or other one meal dishes that will last two meals, or two days. For a change, take the stew after the first day and make meat pie by putting biscuits on top. Serve the chili the second day on fried tortillas with grated onion, and cheese on the top, you might, even enjoy some shredded lettuce on it. Chicken and noodles can have a few vegetables added and either a crust for chicken put pie or add a few dumplings to the dwindling goodies. A little ingenuity can make for easier meal planning and help for a depleated budget.
