Eaglewood Golf Course at Mail-i- n or registration forms may be obtained at NSL City 299-070- 1 298-387- Hall GRANGER BONT1FUL The Viewmont Vikings finally got the monkey off their back as they knocked off the Copper Hills Grizzlies in the opening round of the class 5A state baseball playoffs Copper Hills started quickly as they got to Viewmont starter Chad Cullimore for a pair of runs Cullimore walked lead oft hitter Nate Larsen, who was then thrown out at second on Josh Coes fielder's choice Shaun Hughes then doubled to left center putting runners on second and third Matt Ward drove a single up the middle scoring Coe and Hughes The Vikings came right back in their half of the first as Matt Oman singled and took second on a fielding error Oman scored on Greg Carrs single to right, cutting the Grizzlies' lead to 1 after one In the Vikings third it was Malt Oman again getting things started with a base hit He moved to third on Nate Gold's single to center, and scored on Josh Gold's sacrifice fly to right to tie the game at 2 2 Tun Clark singled to score Gold to put the Vikes up tor good Bret Burmngham singled sending Clark to second Chad Cullimoie then singled to center scoring Clark, and Paul Lawrence running for Burmngham scored all the way from first when the CH center fielder nnss played the ball letting it roll to the fence The inning ended with Viewmont 5-- The 1997 WOODS CROSS Wildcats Basketball Camp will be held June 6 at Woods Cross High School The camp is sponsored by the Catbackers, a booster club for Woods Cross basketball The camp will include the following age brackets Elementary (5th 6th, 7th grade next year), 12 30-- 30 p m , fee $35 Emphasis dribbling, passing, shooting, man defense Junior High (next year), 2 30-- 4 30 p m . fee $40 defensive footwork, Emphasis defensive rotations, fastbreak defense, passing, dribbling and shooting skills a m , fee Sophomores: 9 $50 Emphasis- Sophs will be introduced to the Wildcat basketball system. Matt Duffin singled to right scoring Williams to cut the PG lead to 3 after three. Ryan Wilkins singled with two outs and went to second on a fielding error Travis Armistead to center scoring singled Wilkins.
