We must use what limited time we have effectively. The first step is to plan for trainingexercise periods. Working out when you have time just wont work. Develop a weekly routine at certain hours of the day and stick to your schedule. Try not to let home or work duties interrupt your plans. Focus on fitness that is specific to your goals. Runners dont have to lift weights if limited by time. Serious tennis players dont have time to be serious golfers. In g terms of time, may be an unaffordable luxury. al cross-trainin- Maximize what little time you have to concentrating on one sport or activity. Set realistic goals. Every goal seems reasonable at age 15 or 20, At 30, 40, or 50. a reasonable goal may be to be competitive among your peers in your community, or at the regional level. If competition with others is not important to you, compete with yourself to help you attain your own fitness goals. If you do wish to compete, compete with people your age. There is an age division competition in every sport and ability level divisions in some. There is no dishonor in competing against people who have similar training restrictions. Exercisers and athletes with limited training time can learn to appreciate and use that time wisely. Training and competing successfully is very rewarding.
