Leslie T. Foy for being honored at the 1996 Utah State Historical Society Meeting, July at Westminster College. The Society awarded Mr. Foy the Utah Historical Service Award for outstanding service to Utah history. He was nominated by Dora Flack who accepted the award in his absence. Mrs. Flack nominated Mr. Foy for the lifetime of service he has devoted to Davis County as author, preservationists. city leader, and teacher. Mr. Foy authored, The City Bountiful, published by Horizon Publishers in 1975. Prior to its publication, he wrote Discover Utah, an unpublished history of Davis County School District, and recently researched and wrote the script for a video on Antelope Island. He organized and served as toric Bountiful Handcart Days Committee. Mr. Foy served on archeological dig near the Heber C. Kimball Mill site in Bountiful, and was active in preserving a 138 year old log cabin now located on the Bountiful City Park Curator of the Layton Heritage 1 y Saints. He will speak July 21 at 9 a.m. in the West Bountiful 5th Ward, 840 N. 800 W., West Bountiful. Sister Julie Judd, daughter of Kerry and Chris Judd, has been called to serve in the Austria Vienna Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Elder David Hendricks, son of Larry and Myra Hendricks, has accepted a call to serve in the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- Saints. y HenElder dricks will speak in the Mueller Park 8th Ward on July 21 at 4:30 p.m. Dave is a 1994 graduate of Bountiful High School and Seminary and has attended Salt Luke Community College.
