Brett, the oldest, and his wife, Jea Nette, live in Pointe Verda, Florida, w here Brett is the technical director of composite engineering for B. F. Goodrich Company; Steven and his wife, Julie, live in Kaysville. Steven is a lawyer with the firm of Scally & Reading; Scott and wife, Jenna, live in Seattle where Scott is an engineer for the Boeing Company; and Kendall and wife Andrea, live in Eldersburg, Maryland. Scott is in management with the Black and Decker Company. This past year a cluster of couples on Bountifuls Madera Hills Drive have retired. The Smiths join other retirees Jim and Sally Sampson, Ed and Joan Quinn. Don and Jeannie Bosch. Jim and Lena Bromley, and Bill and Donna White. D. has begun practice in general ophthalmology at Lakeview Hospital. Dr. Lyman comes to Utah with 16 years of experience in private practice in Eugene, Oregon. He succeeded his father who was in practice for 27 years there. Dr. Lyman attended BYU, served a mission to Eastern France for the Mormon Church, then graduated from the University of Oregon in 1969. He attended medical school at the Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon finishing in 1974. Maricopa County General Hospital was the site of his internship year. Dr. Lyman returned to Portland and the Heath Sciences University to complete a residency in Ophthalmology in 1979. Fifty of the top eye surgeons from all over the then USSR attended this three day conference held in Irkutsk, Siberia. It was a thrill to visit Moscow, Si Petersburg, and Siberia and share with them the new innovation in eye surgery.
