Anthony has held several leadership positions in his boy scout troop including senior patrol leader. Anthony is 16 years old and a junior at Bountiful High School. He loves music and plays the piano and the trumpet. He also is a member of the Bountiful High Hockey Team and recently participated in the Utah Winter Games. Anthony loves Four Utahns will be honored as heroes during Celebrate America program Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The program is sponsored by the Utah Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. In addition, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will perform during the free public program, with historicalpatriotic readings and narrations as part of the musical program. It d Problem solving offered A Mormon Youth Symphony erformance set Feb. 19 O-- TWO EAGLE SCOUTS: Teylor Burr and Anthony Mercer will received their Eagle Scout rank on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at a court of honor. The two scouts are membeis of Troop 700 Sing-a-Lon- te p m., and Gary Mercer of Bountiful. Teylors Eagle project involved supervising members of his troop in student making fifty double-side- d lap boards. These lap boards were presented to the Muir Elementary School. The scouts spent many hours sanding and painting the lap boards. Teylor served in his scout troop in several positions including patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader. Teylor is a junior at Bountiful High School and is 16 years old. He plays hockey for Bountiful High and was on the First Security Bank hockey team that recently won the Utah Winter Games Gold Medal. Teylor joins his three older brothers that also attained the Eagle scout rank.
